🧾 Biblical Food Laws

β€œFor I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy.” – Leviticus 11:44

Introduction

The Bible gives clear instructions on what foods are clean and unclean. At Yahweh Temple, we believe in honoring the Word of Elohim by following these divine instructions for our health and holiness.

Clean vs Unclean Animals

Clean Foods:

  • πŸ„ Cattle (cow)

  • πŸ‘ Sheep

  • 🐐 Goats

  • πŸ“ Chicken

  • 🐟 Fish with fins & scales (e.g., tilapia, sardine)

Unclean Foods:

  • πŸ– Pig (pork)

  • πŸ‡ Rabbit

  • 🐐 Camel

  • πŸ™ Octopus, shrimps, crabs (no fins/scales)

  • 🐍 Snakes, dogs, cats

Why It Matters

Obeying food laws is not legalismβ€”it is love. We obey not for salvation, but because we love the Lord and want to live by His design for our bodies and health.

  • Leviticus 20:25–26

  • Isaiah 66:17

  • Acts 10:9–16 (explanation)
